The Lean Startup Conference - Walla Walla
Monday, December 3, 2012 from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM (PST)
Walla Walla, WA
The Lean Startup Conference brings together innovators from startups and established organizations alike to share lessons for building profitable lean organizations.
It doesn't matter if you're a doctor, receptionist, student, or plumber. Come learn how to get your ideas out of your head and turn them into something meaningful. The Lean Startup methodology is all about making a difference in the world. The world needs you to share your unique and remarkable gift--no matter what you do or where you work.
On December 3, the biggest names in The Lean Startup world and a slew of entrepreneurs will gather at The Lean Startup Conference in San Francisco. Lean Walla was named the official simulcast partner for the Walla Walla area and will stream the entire single-track event. Join us to watch, learn and discuss how to be more innovative, use people's time better, and be more successful.
Whether you're new to Lean Startup methods or have been putting these practices to use in your organization, this event promises to educate and inform. The Lean Startup Conference brings together innovators from startups, Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and non-profit organizations to share lessons for building profitable lean organizations. More than 30 entrepreneurs will speak about their first-hand experiences, with keynotes including:
- Marc Andreessen, co-founder and general partner at Andreessen Horowitz
- Steve Blank, serial entrepreneur, author, lecturer at Stanford
- Beth Comstock, chief marketing officer at GE
- Eric Ries, author of The Lean Startup
While knowledge about the new science of entrepreneurship has gone global, startup ecosystems are always local. Come downtown at 8:30am to meet fellow Walla Walla entrepreneurs interested in creating and managing successful startups. Learn how to quickly test ideas (assumptions) and either validate and move on or invalidate them and pivot. Learn the systematic framework that will empower you to make an even greater impact in the world around you. We all have a precious inner-gift. Entrepreneurial thinking and strategies will help you discover what that gift is, and then share it with the world. Entrepreneurship IS for Everyone!
The conference will conveniently be held on Main Street in Walla Walla, in the building directly adjacent to Starbucks Coffee. Enter the red-framed glass door set back between Mark Ryan Winery and Desination Walla Walla.
After entering the building, take a quick right and head upstairs. Suite 203 will be directly in front of you at the top of the stairs.
This location conveniently provides extensive dining opportunities close-by. Free long-term parking is available in the city parking lot behind the VFW. It's on the block between East streets Rose and Sumach and North streets Colville and Spokane.
"Lean Startup isn't about being cheap [but is about] being less wasteful and still doing things that are big."

When & Where
Lean Walla is a group of local Lean Startup enthusiasts that meet once a month to encourage the crap out of each other and flame each other's entrepreneurial fire. The group is open to anyone with an idea they want to test. It doesn't matter if you're a school teacher, small business owner, engineer, manager, a tech startup or public employee. We welcome anyone that recognizes a "startup" as simply being, "A human institution designed to create a new product or service under conditions of extreme uncertainty."
